Convergint Federal is experiencing tremendous success, and we currently have openings for Senior Security Systems Traveling Technician who are team-oriented individuals possessing experience and/or training in electronic Security Systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an acute attention to detail, while remaining customer focused is required.
Convergint Federal is seeking a Senior Security Systems TravelingTechnician. The candidate will support federal government programs efforts throughout Convergint Federal as well as our Parent Company (Convergint Technologies).
This position reports to the office located in Spring Lake, NC, responsible for OCONUS deployment. Even though we primarily service FT. Liberty and other DOD installations around the US, we also service several customers throughout the middle east. Our current requirement is for a Sr. Technician willing to travel Internationally.
The candidate shall be capable of performing customer support activities involving the installation, integration, and testing of complex Security Systems. Review the system specification, scope of work, and drawings with the Project Manager and Systems Engineer to ensure the installation, operation and functionality meet all customer requirements. Must have the ability to effectively lead teams of technicians and subcontractors.
A Project Manager will provide assignments in the form of scheduled objectives and established goals. The Sr.Technician will work with the Project Manager and Systems Engineer to review all completed work.
This position requires the following qualifications:
- Working knowledge and understanding of Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV hardware and software
- Working knowledge and understanding of electrical principals
- Ability to read, interpret electrical and electro-mechanical schematics and architectural drawings.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Project Engineers as well as other staff.
- Ability to effectively lead teams of technicians and subcontractors at customer sites. Must be able to interpret customer specs and relay information to installation teams.
- Hands on experience with AMAG, Lenel, Software House and/or other similar access control systems is nice, but not a deal breaker.
- Hands on experience with Milestone, Exacq Vision, Genetec, and Avigilon VMS Software and/or other similar VMS systems is nice, but not a deal breaker.
- Familiarity with international travel logistics (per diem, timesheet entry, time-zone knowledge, etc.)
- Ability to Travel/work Internationally 50% -95% of the time. (company paid)

Clearance Requirement: TS with SCI eligibility.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience Requirement: Minimum of 10 years of experience with Access Control, Physical Security, Intrusion Detection and Video Management Systems. The more experience and ability the better.
Desired Certifications: Milestone and Lenel.
