Sr. Security Operations Engineer

• Monitor security alerts and incidents and respond to alerts as needed on a 24x7 basis within defined SLAs.
• Lead and provide support to information security incident response activities including triaging, remediation, documentation, and reporting to senior management
• Develop incident response playbooks for Security Operations team
• Manage SIEM environment changes and operationalize new system capabilities.
• Create and provide oversight for rule creation to generate actionable security alerts, meet audit requirements, conduct incident response investigations, and manage visibility into threats.
• Provide architectural direction, documentation, and oversight over SIEM, AV/EDR, IP/IDS, DLP and other security solutions.
• Create custom documentation related to SIEM architecture, engineering, operations, and maintenance.
• Lead proof of concept/value projects by testing and evaluating products and solutions, and then suggest recommendation with documentation.
• Lead a project from design, implementation, and operationalization with minimal guidance.
• Provide oversight into vulnerability management by building processes, reports, and ensuring remediation of vulnerabilities using vulnerability management scanning and reporting tools.
• Provide application security related support by reviewing SAST scan reports, performing DAST scans, supporting pentest activities, and ensuring remediation of findings.
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate operations and activities to ensure an appropriate level of information protection is achieved and maintained.
• Perform day to day administration of security related systems and applications, monitoring logs and reporting of security events.
• Proactively manages, tunes, and troubleshoots security logging, anti-malware, DLP, email security and other security systems.
• Support threat hunting activities.
• Provide forensics support during incident response activities.
• Create policies and standards for security processes and solutions.
• Assist IT operations with remediation planning and implementations.
• Develop, communicate and train others on security standards and procedures.
• Research and recommend new security technology capabilities and their applicability within the greater organization.
• Report suspicious activities to manager, director, or Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Required: 5+ of security procedures and protocols.
• Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
• Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.
• Required: Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, employees, regulators, or board members.
• Required: Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Required: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Required: Ability to create and follow documented procedures.
• Required: Familiarity with banking industry applications.

The salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $175,000 + bonus + benefits
Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
