You will play a crucial role in engaging with infrastructure engineers, IT, developers, and vendors. You will be working with modern infrastructure and tools to create new and innovative solutions to mitigate or eliminate classes of attacks. You will work under the guidance and mentorship of senior team members but with minimal supervision on your day-to-day work. Above all, we are looking for a person passionate about Incident Response investigation and automation.

The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $102,000 USD - $147,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.

What you'll do:
- Investigation alerts, events, and incidents.
- Create alerts.
- Write playbooks.
- Integrate data sets required for security monitoring.
- Keep written track of all incidents from start to conclusion
- Build response capabilities.
- Work with teams to identify threats.
- Develop abuse cases.
- Participate in post-mortems and take action items to improve prevention, detection, and response.
- Facilitate and execute Incident Response processes.
- Report and keep track of incidents.
- Perform incident forensics
What you'll need:
- Proficiency with enterprise cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Proficiency in using an enterprise SIEM/SOAR
- Programming experience with go, python, or other scripting languages
- Experience with conducting log analysis of various types of logs.
- Knowledge of database querying and analysis languages and tools.
- Knowledge of network protocols
- Familiarity with common application security flaws (OWASP Top 10)
- Team up with infrastructure engineering to create solutions.
- Have established relationships with external security organizations to maintain awareness of security issues and trends, including Open-Source intelligence (OSINT)
- Interest in emerging technology.
- Experience reproducing proof of concept exploits for testing purposes
- Threat prevention solution research and development
