Sr. Salesforce Developer (Consultant)

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate. Preference given to direct C2C candidates without a 3rd party.

Mazuma Software is a small technology consulting firm specializing in systems development for the hedge fund industry.

WE NEED YOU:

We are searching for the right candidate to join us at our primary client, a large, technologically progressive hedge fund based in NYC. We are looking to bring the right candidate on board to help the Investor Solutions IT team. The Investor Solutions IT team manages the technology platform which supports the fundraising, marketing, and investor relations functions performed by the Capital Formation Group (CFG). We recently onboarded Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, which will require continuous customizations as well as additional integration with both marketplace products and custom homegrown solutions. The CFG business is extremely fast-paced and constantly changing, requiring IT solutions to be very dynamic and scalable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a senior developer with a minimum of 8 years of financial industry experience working with Salesforce. As a member of the Investor Solutions IT team, the expectations from candidate are as follows:

• Ability to partner with the business analysts to implement a wholistic solution using Salesforces tools and sometimes a combination with in-house applications to support the sales and investor relations business functions
• Work with the team to strategize, track, and implement tasks related to the migration efforts and new Salesforce implementation
• Enhance Salesforce platform for our new Private Wealth Solutions business with custom screens, buttons, flows and calculations
• Help establish a process to manage all Salesforce customizations and user interface changes like page layouts, search layouts, workflows, calculated fields
• Build effective application integration strategies by identifying tools to integrate upstream and downstream applications with the Salesforce platform
• Be organized and able to coordinate with different teams to fulfill different data/functionality requirements from upstream/downstream applications
• Be able to work independently on development and comfortable with working on multiple projects and deliverables and escalate delays or issues timely
• Validations, notifications, and alerts
• Monitor the health of Salesforce data replication to local SQL database for custom reporting for fundraising and sales functions and work with the DBA team to troubleshoot when needed
• Manage Salesforce sandboxes, including data refresh from prod instance and user administration
• Provide ongoing production support with a quick turnaround and accountability to resolve the issue and report/log bugs in Azure DevOps Boards

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expertise in creating and managing Salesforce APEX objects, including creating and managing custom fields
• Expertise in using Salesforce SFDX, APIs, SOQL/SOSL, data upload to read and write data in partnership with other downstream/upstream applications at here via REST / SOAP (Web API, WCF), and SQL
• Expertise in creating and managing workflows and triggers, calculations, and data uploads
• Experience in designing Salesforce layouts, dashboards, UX
• Good knowledge in integration services, reporting platforms and workflow platforms
• Good knowledge of running through Salesforce development efforts through the IT SDLC process, including development, testing, QA, and prod release
• Strong communication and writing skills, highly organized, ambition to proactively seek answers and improve process
