Key Responsibilities
- Solves Mechanical problems through design, redesign, application, and reliability centered maintenance techniques.
- Supports use and execution of NDT and PdM technologies.
- Develops written inspection procedures for mechanical equipment.
- Uses various test and inspection instruments to assess condition and repair requirements of equipment.
- Uses statistical tools to track and analyze trend data, performs calculations, communicate performance, predict remaining life and failure expectancy and to improve Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) of equipment.
- Works in team environment to investigate incidents relative to equipment failure, root cause analysis and to develop and follow-up on recommendations.
- Works with maintenance, stores, suppliers and purchasing on spare parts and equipment opportunities.
- Tracks maintenance related plant downtime and Cost of Poor Quality(COPQ)
- Prepares monthly reports.
- Collects data and reports on benefits resulting from reliability centered maintenance.
- Develops maintenance work procedures and equipment test procedures for mechanical integrity.
- Performs/coordinates inspections/tests, calculations, evaluations, repair recommendations, contractor and repair work, etc. for mechanical integrity.
- Ensures all repairs and alterations are made and documented according to codes and standards.
- Supports Management of Change program for changes required to reliability records and efforts.
- Support Operating System and Maintenance Excellence Efforts.
- Ensures compliance with state regulations as it relates to maintaining equipment such as refrigeration equipment, waste basins, backflow preventers, outfall systems, etc...
- Reviews and modifies P&IDs or equipment drawings for accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar
- 3 months internship/coop experience in asset reliability, asset maintenance/repair or project/production engineering
- 2 years proficiency in various software programs including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Work, Teams, PowerPoint, Access
- At least 5 year of plant experience in Reliability, Maintenance, Project, or Production Engineering role.
- Knowledge of Auto Cad or drafting software.
- Knowledge of Maintenance module for SAP or equivalent ERP/CMMS System.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and autonomously.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a high-stress, high pressure environment.
- Willingness to take the lead in the development and improvement of new/existing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Hands-on proactive problem solver; possess “Can-Do” presence, maturity and judgment.
