Job Summary
The Senior Real Estate Manager supports and executes the r eal e state and g rowth s trategies of the Company within their given region. In the role, this person drives site selection and is the primary deal-maker for their region, while closely working with the Vice President of Real Estate and Real Estate Committee to set national strategy. In this role the Senior Real Estate Manager is an ambassador of the brand and relationship manager, ensuring timely internal and external communication on r eal e state matters, and furthers the development of internal protocols and procedures as they relate to property and Real Estate management. This position actively embodies and inspires skills that will elevate the core values and mission of Shake Shack .
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee all site acquisitions
Locate sites
Manage and oversee brokers and other consultants
Coordinate site due diligence by quarterbacking involvement with strategy, design,
Negotiate deal terms, after they have been modeled financially to meet metrics.
Negotiate leases and lease exhibits
Prepare financial models and demographic / psychographic analyses
Oversee transition from lease negotiation to design and construction
Develop and maintain relationships with landlords and developers
Create Real Estate financial models for review and presentation
Prepare presentations to the leadership team and broader company
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to travel to markets as needed
Proficient at building financial models
Highly motivated and innovative
Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Strong cross collaboration skills with internal development team
Strong sales and presentations skills to represent the brand externally and the site internally.
Able to work through ambiguity and change
Requirements - Education, Experience, Physical, and Competencies
Bachelor's Degree
Background in Real Estate, Business, Urban Planning, Transactional Legal or other Associated Field.
6-8 years experience
Pay Range - $112,000.00 - $192,050.00 *The salary paid to a successful applicant will depend on the applicant’s experience, qualifications, business needs and resources, and the candidate’s location.
