Your day as a Sr. Quality EngineerIn this role as a Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of the design, review, implementation, and management of error-proofing methods to ensure product quality. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems that drive quality upstream to the point of manufacture, including standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Your expertise will also be utilized in developing sampling procedures and programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, measurement, analytical equipment, and facilities.
As a Sr. Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing on-the-job training to employees, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain high-quality standards. You will also utilize your expertise to design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Additionally, you will be required to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities and conduct research on best practices to continuously improve processes. Your ability to collaborate effectively with the quality, engineering, and production teams will be vital in identifying the root causes of external and internal defects, ultimately helping to build quality into our processes. - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Quality Engineering.
- 8 - 10 years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting, automotive industry experience a plus
As a Quality Engineer, you may be required to adapt to changing priorities and work outside regular business hours to support production and meet project deadlines.
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, will enable you to accurately record, analyze, and present quality and reliability data.
