Sr. Quality Control Inspector

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced Sr. Quality Control Inspector for a position in Eagle Township, Wisconsin. We are looking for a skilled PPAP Inspector and Quality Coordinator with a strong background in first article inspections for major OEMs, particularly those working with the US Government. This role focuses on PPAP execution and coordinating PFEMA, Control Plans, CFATs, and FATs. The successful candidate will ensure that all processes and products meet stringent specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate first article inspections and PPAPs, ensuring adherence to US Government and military specifications, along with commercial standards.
• Develop, assess, and maintain PFEMAs and Control Plans to anticipate and mitigate potential failures in the production process.
• Coordinate CFATs and FATs, ensuring all products meet customer expectations and regulatory compliance before leaving the facility.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to validate processes and component quality, promoting continuous improvement.
• Document and report inspection and test results, providing comprehensive feedback to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and manage inspection equipment to ensure precise measurements and assessments.
• Update and refine inspection and testing protocols in accordance with evolving industry standards and government regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a PPAP Inspector, with a solid track record in first article inspections for large OEMs, especially in government contracting.
• In-depth knowledge of welding codes (e.g., AWS Certified D1.1/D1.2/D1.3/D1.6, B2.1, MIL-STD-3040) and manufacturing standards.
• Experience in coordinating PFEMAs, Control Plans, CFATs, and FATs.
• Exceptional organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across various departments.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and Quality Control.
