Sr. Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Contract to Hire (CTH) 

The Sr. QA Engineer will work collaboratively with our development and product teams to craft, implement, and maintain the highest standards for Quality Assurance. Leveraging both automated and manual testing methodologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functionality, reliability, and performance of our diverse product range. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Understanding of QA testing processes in a data warehouse environment 
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test automation systems to ensure the quality of our products. 
• Collaborate closely with development teams to analyze product requirements and ensure they are incorporated correctly in the design. 
• Identify, document, and follow up on bugs and defects, working with teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. 
• Leverage automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent to enhance efficiency in testing processes. 
• Provide input on QA process improvements, aiming to increase efficiency and effectiveness of QA activities. 
• Assist in integrating QA processes within CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. 
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to foster quality and innovation. 
• Ability to manage team directives toward established goals 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 7-10 years of experience in software Quality Assurance, including experience in both manual and automated testing environments. 
• Proficiency with programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or JavaScript. 
• Experience with various testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or equivalent. 
• Experience in data analytics on any data warehouse required
• Experience working with SQL language and databases is required.   
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and DevOps methodologies
• Healthcare experience a plus 
• Consulting experience a plus

Skills 

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a high attention to detail. 
• Proficiency in working with automated testing tools and frameworks. 
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders. 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. 
• Proactive and self-motivated. 
• Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback. 
• A continual learner, staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in QA and data analytics. 

Work Environment: 

• Remote work from home. 
• Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday. Specific business hours will depend on client needs. 

Physical Demands: 

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 
• The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, library stacks, office machinery, etc. 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. 
• The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
