Reporting to the leadership team of Professional Services, the Senior Project Manager will manage large, complex, and strategic engagements successfully to deliver quality outcomes. The Senior Project Manager works closely with the internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies to drive execution and understand the business requirements of the customer. Leveraging a team of Services Delivery staff and customer stakeholders, they drive the implementation of software solutions. As an informal leader of the delivery team, they act as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders providing project status reporting, expense management, risk identification and mitigation as well as aligning customer acceptance of deliverables. As leader on the delivery team, they help coach and mentor Project Managers on internal processes, delivery approach, business savviness and internal change initiatives. The Senior Project Manager is viewed as a subject matter expert in their field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively leverages a comprehensive understanding of project scope, resources, issues, and risks to anticipate and document potential risks to the revenue recognition forecast.
- Applies strategic thinking to exercise effective project governance, issue de-escalation, and communicate account risks/opportunities to internal and client leadership
- Interprets requirement gaps and executes necessary changes to align project output with clients intended outcome
- Leads by example for team members on process execution. Mentors project team members.
- Leads larger, complex projects with greater complexity and ambiguity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum seven years of project management experience with a proven history of multiple successful SaaS software project implementations.
- 5+ years managing client-facing large, multi-site enterprise projects.
- Leadership qualities, such as motivation techniques and conflict management.
- Knowledge of project management processes, such as Scrum and Agile.
- Leadership qualities, such as motivation techniques and conflict management.
- PMP or Prince II designation an asset.
- Experience must exhibit progressively increasing project management and business savviness responsibility for most of the PMI knowledge areas.
- Post-secondary education in business or technology related field.
- Ability to work extremely well on complex implementations using an innovative mindset and problem-solving skills to achieve goals on time.
