Project Managers at SCJ are energetic and skilled senior-level professionals who provide technical oversight and project management expertise on a variety of projects. Independence and initiative are critical as Project Managers must move projects forward with minimal oversight. This position requires skills to facilitate project development and execution, coordinate effectively with stakeholders, and supervise technical staff.

What you'll be doing
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance expectations within the boundaries of company policy
- Create and execute project work plans and revise when appropriate to meet changing needs
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes
- Initiate and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate successful project completion
- Effectively facilitate team and client meetings
- Provide oversight of project staff
- Complete project documents - initiate and complete any required documentation to support assigned projects
- Manage project budgets
- Seek new clients/projects - in working with potential or existing clients, listen for, and seek out new projects that may exist or are being formulated
- Participate in the development of proposals for new projects as well as interviews and presentations as needed
- Effectively communicate information in both written and verbal forms
- Demonstrate independence and initiative and will be able to move tasks forward with minimal oversight.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients
- Provide QA/QC and peer review of engineering calculations and designs
- Supervise work of CAD technicians and engineers
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- PE license is required
- Experience and proficiency in land development design and permitting
- 10+ years or more of progressively responsible civil engineering experience
