Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers in Lincolnshire that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and product quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintenance of existing certifications, including participation in factory audits, renewal of existing certifications to take not account changing requirements.
• Be the certification lead for obtaining regulatory approval for gas detection products including ATEX, IECEx, CSA, UL etc.
• Working with 3rd party test laboratories and certification bodies to obtain secondary approvals of products (e.g., Marin, Regional wireless etc.)
• Work with Global Marketing to achieve world-wide certifications of Gas Detection products (e.g., North America, South America, Korea, Japan, China, South Asia, Russia, India, Europe).
• Building long term relationship with certification bodies (e.g., UL, CSA, Intertek, DEKRA, KTL, DNV, SGS)
• Partner with colleagues in global teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Project Management, R&D) to discuss and prioritize certification projects.
• Interface with government officials and customers in terms of regulatory and/or certification issues.
• Monitor global standards to ensure continuous compliance of Gas Detection Products (explosion-proof, EMC, Wireless, electrical safety, gas detector performance, marine, functional safety (SIL).
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering disciplines
• Proficiency in MS Office
• 5 years product certification experience working with approvals standards for equipment to be used within hazardous areas (e.g., IEC 60079 series, IEC 61010-1, UL 913, etc.)
WE VALUE:
• Prior work history in product testing
• Prior work history in gas detection understanding of quality management systems (such as ISO 9001, Six sigma etc.)
• Good standard of written and oral English
• Goal oriented, compliance-oriented and able to complete project on time.
