The Senior Operations Analyst position is principally charged with assisting with the establishment, coordination and progress of projects as they relate to Store Operations; including, but not limited to process improvement, technology enhancements, new implementations, training, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Actively work with Store Operations, Field Operations and other functional teams to document opportunities to improve processes, tools and technology that will help reduce expense, limit exposure related to compliance, improve service levels and reduce administrative burden on field management.
Possesses solid understanding of application programming and database systems.
Represent business interests and ensure that all technical designs meet business needs.
Works closely with Project Managers to ensure project issues and risks are identified, and develops the plan to mitigate each.
Act as the liaison between the business units and technology teams, relaying information in an easy to understand manner.
Attend and participate in meetings. Provide information/input to help ensure projects are prioritized and planned to provide maximum benefit to O’Reilly corporate and Store Operations.
Actively engage with and consult end users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
Troubleshoot issues related to data or process that impacts Field Operations, performance and/or profitability.
Regularly spend time working in the stores to ensure that the department can accurately represent the interests of the stores.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Proven business analyst experience.
Experience in direct support of business organizations.
Analytic and logical thinking.
Proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong knowledge of PowerPoint.
Excellent people and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be able to learn independently.
Knowledge of flow charts including both business and system flows and of programming logic and code.
Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications.
