Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with significant experience in managing and maintaining Juniper networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Secret clearance and demonstrate expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network solutions. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our network infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Juniper-based network solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network architecture designs and solutions that align with business objectives.
- Perform regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including routing, switching, firewall, and VPN configurations.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering roles, with a focus on Juniper networking technologies.
- In-depth understanding of Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Junos OS and Juniper networking platforms, such as MX, SRX, and EX series.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), VLANs, VPN technologies, and network security principles.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Nagios.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP) are highly desirable.
- Experience working in a government or defense contracting environment.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
