Sr. Network Engineer

Seeking Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should excel in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on cloud integration. This candidate should bring expertise in Cisco advanced routing and switching, Cisco Security appliances, F5, Cisco Client, cloud Integration, with a particular focus on Azure and Azure cloud migration.

Sr. Network Engineer, you will:

• Maintain Network Infrastructure:
  • Design, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructure components, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, F5 load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
  • Experience with managing Cisco UCM and Unity systems, ISR routers, ASR routers, Catalyst VSS switching, Nexus VPC configuration, HSRP, BGP, BFD configurations, and familiarity with performance monitoring and management tools such as Orion SolarWinds
  • Understanding of voice and data networks, encompassing Switches, Routers, Servers, Copper and Fiber Cabling/Optics, Racks/Cabinets, Firewalls, LAN, WAN/MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN, QoS, dynamic routing protocols, and server load balancing.
  • Experience with managing Cisco UCM and Unity systems, ISR routers, ASR routers, Catalyst VSS switching, Nexus VPC configuration, HSRP, BGP, BFD configurations, and familiarity with performance monitoring and management tools such as Orion SolarWinds
• Support Cloud Adoption and Integration:
  • Support Azure Cloud Migrations, working with project teams to help facilitate the migration of legacy applications to the Azure cloud platform.
  • Work on integrating network services with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure using automation.
  • Implement and manage VPN connections, VPCs, and network security controls within Azure environments.
• Ensure Security and Compliance:
  • Stay current with security best practices and industry standards to protect the organization's assets and data Document and implement robust security measures across all segments of the IT infrastructure.
  • Conduct periodic audits, testing, and remediation in accordance with IT and PCI Audit policies.
• Troubleshoot and Support:
  • Identify and manage risks, address issues and obstacles to ensure progress, adherence to planned changes and initiatives and promptly escalate issues to leaders.
  • Participate in an On-Call escalation support rotation.
• Document and Report:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, utilization, and security metrics.
  • Build Diagrams and identify network gaps or roadblocks and come up with faster solutions, which in turn saves time and money.
• Capacity plan and foresee Scalability:
  • Collaborate with lead engineers, architects, and project managers and brainstorm ideas and drive positive changes in the IT environment.
  • Oversee the upgrading or deployment of new network equipment and connections.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Network Engineer
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS and IOS-XE multilayer switches and routers (e.g., 2900, 3750, 3850, 4500, 9300), Nexus 9000 switches, ASA and Firepower Firewalls, RSA, Duo, Client, IPSEC, and AnyConnect VPN and Wireless Networking.
• Experience working with F5 load balancers, AWAF, and AFM firewalls.
• Experience with MPLS networks and SD-WAN solutions.
• Experience supporting Azure Cloud infrastructure and knowledge of Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Virtual network NAT Gateway, Azure DNS, Peering service, Azure Virtual Network Manager, Route Server, and Azure Bastion.
• Knowledge of PCI or similar security posture and audit procedures
• Familiarity with CIS security hardening standards.
