Position Summary
The Senior Market Research Analyst is responsible for both the project management for research and consulting projects as well as participating in the research itself. An analyst in this position should have some level of subject matter knowledge in Keypoint Intelligence products and services. This would include any of the following: Generative AI, Commercial printing, Office workplace technologies, or the packaging industry (corrugated, labels, flexible packaging, or folding cartons). Senior Market Research Analysts may also perform most of the duties on projects on their own with limited involvement and oversight from others. This position requires working with clients and team members that are dispersed across the globe.
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting Market Research on technology to support market sizing, product development, market entry strategy and marketing & sales initiatives within Keypoint Intelligence’s customer base.
Essential Functions
- Determine research methodology and consulting approach, and assist with writing project proposals and other consulting sales activities
- Function as lead project manager for consulting engagements
- Manage all phases of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including research design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis and storytelling
- Overseeing project team’s adherence to project scope, schedule, & budget
- Assist with vendor management
- Provide analysis of research findings and be able to tell stories that resonate with customers
- Develop project deliverables in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Present research findings at project completion
- Obtain subject matter expertise from research findings
Competencies Required:
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with quantitative survey design and conducting qualitative Market Research (focus groups, in-depth interviews, online journals)
- Ability to tell a story with data
- Strong computer skills particularly with the Microsoft suite – Other analytic skills & experience with data analytics and/or presentment tools such as Domo and SPSS are a plus
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization with a diverse set of colleagues distributed internationally
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Travel
Occasional travel to trade shows and industry events may be required for this position
