Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Body

We arelooking for a highly motivated hands-on individual with extensive experience in developing newmanufacturing processes and equipment. The successful candidate is aself-starter, has strong engineering skills and organizational capabilities. This role requires workingclosely with Design Engineering,Quality, Production, Maintenance and External Vendors, andother departments to take vehicle design changes and new vehicle designs frominitial concept through prototype development and into full production.

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Able to function independently, be a strong collaborator, detail oriented, organized, hands-on and able to make strong decisions
• Work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
• Remain engaged, initiative-taking, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments, coping with rapidly changing information
• Be results and data driven, and able to effect change based on data
• Have working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability
• Strong familiarity with structured problems solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, etc.)
• 3D CAD experience in reviewing and modifying 3D models of tooling and product
• Experience creating various reports and database tools for presentation to Executive Leaders within the organization
• Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and configuration is preferable
• Experience with robot programming, backup and restoration is preferable
• Hands-on experience with modifying jigs, fixtures, and coordinating equipment installations
• Good understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies
• Experienced with AUTOCAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and other similar software and tools
