Objectives of the Position:
The purpose of this role is to focus on Additive Manufacturing Quality systems and quality assurance (powder to delivered part) with the key deliverable of measuring and mitigating risks in the manufacturing process (inquiry to invoice). The chosen candidate will be working as a member of a cross functional team of engineering, operation, and business development to develop, obtain and sustain AM Quality Systems.
Key Responsibilities: (Expectations of the Position)
- Take lead in maintaining the existing quality system, enhance the system according to the latest industry standards, assist quality manager in developing new quality systems and acquiring certifications as required
- Maintain tracebaility of the parts from Powder to final product
- Take lead in managing On-Time delivery to Customers by managing Post-Printing activities
- Perform in process inspection and testing between each processing steps to ensure quality specifications are met according to the control plan. Including inspection of powder and base material, post printing inspection, review heat treatment certificate and mechanical testing results, perform dimensional inspection of final product.
- Perform Internal audits to evaluate the quality system in place
- Collaborating with operations manager and project lead to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Take lead in non-conformance handling, root cause analysis and corrective actions (Incoming, In-Process, Vendor, Customer)
- Assit in logistics requirements (Local, International)
- Vendor Management and new vendor qualification
- Other activities as assigned by Managers

Experience, Skills and Personal Attributes
- Diploma or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, diploma in Quality Engineering an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Additive Manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge in basic principle of powder bed fusion (PBF) and other AM technologies is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures and industrial standards.
- Skills in metrology and experience with quality systems and NDE.
- Background knowledge in metallurgy is preferred. (carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Six-Sigma and continuous improvement processes.
- Exhibits proficient technical writing skills.
- Proven adaptability and flexibility as a part of team.
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
- A demonstrated passion for Additive Manufacturing and quality systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, high level of self-motivation.
- Attention to details is critical.
