How you will make an impact:
Laboratory Plastics Essentials (LPE) is a $1.0B business within the Laboratory Products Group (LPG), which offers a broad set of differentiated consumable products primarily serving Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostic and Academic markets. LPE is a global business with 5,000 employees, 12 manufacturing sites and numerous distribution hubs, supported by a global finance team. The business has significant exposure to high growth markets and is focused on providing fit for purpose solutions to our customers.
As a member of the Laboratory Plastics Essentials team, the Sr. FP&A Manager will provide finance and business partnering leadership support to the LPE Leadership and Finance teams. This role will own financial planning, reporting and analytics. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities and contribute continued growth to a strong finance team!
What you will do:
- Supervise and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX)
- Lead data analysis for the business, using sophisticated data and problem solving
- Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
- Using PowerBI & Excel, develop dashboards, tools, and metrics to analyze results, track performance against planned objectives and support leadership decision-making.
- Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities
- Collaborate with sites, regional, and divisional finance teams to understand and explain P&L results.
- Continue to evolve business segment reporting to providing insight to LPE leadership and the BU Segment teams supporting profitable revenue growth.
- Coordinate financial reporting & forecasting process for consolidated segments inclusive of P&L reporting, revenue, margin, operating expenses and foreign exchange impacts.
- Collaborate cross functionally to drive finance project coordination and resolution in partnership with IT, finance & leadership teams.
University Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance required, MBA or advanced degree in Finance preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years experience in Accounting or Finance roles with proven with the ability to progress in multinational matrixed organization.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment preferred
- Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry is desired
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills
- Proactive communication capabilities, identifying and addressing issues via candid dialogue
- Validated business partner and influencer
- Understanding of GAAP and ability to perform financial statement analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of Hyperion or equivalent multifaceted database, sophisticated Microsoft Excel and PowerBI skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience collaborating with global teams to tackle problems, drive accountability, and lead improvement efforts
- Ability to make logical assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and highlight performance drivers/trends
- Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), Hyperion (CMR, HFM), PowerBI, Cognos (or equivalent) and PowerPoint is preferred

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $118,000.00–$180,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
