JOB SUMMARY: Manages catering operations and events both on and off property to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability, and development of and responsibility for the catering Managers and Team Members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the director in all menu product development.
- Overall responsibility of the operational aspects of special events including successful completion and accomplishing financial drivers. This includes overseeing the Catering management team and administrative staff.
- Responsible for overseeing TSAT and CSAT, including action planning and following up with clients on action items.
- Coordinating with other departments, including event management, and conducting site visits and pre-cons to ensure client expectations are met, and drive future business.
- Oversees logistical Catering support, including warehouse team and inventory.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE: Ensures the success of Catering events, effectively leading team member satisfaction, meeting budgetary/financial goals, and driving new business.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Hospitality Management preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years Banquet manager and/or Catering Sales;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Certified Professional Food Manager required;
- CMP or CPCE certification preferred
