Responsible for daily operation of self-sustaining specialty warehouse. Compiles information and catalogs items into Corporate Material Management System. Plans, schedules, orders, expedites, receives and inspects all stock and non-stock material. Maintains accurate records or purchase receipts, equipment, warranties, etc. for Internal Audit, OSHA, and management. Provides assistance to Superintendent, Engineers, Technical Supervisors, Technicians, and internal/external customers.Essential Job Tasks: Compiles information and catalogs items into Corporate Material Management System as well as maintaining up-to-date catalog of items. Forecasts material demands determined by usage, availability and cost factors. Performs inventory analysis and adds, deletes, modifies inventory according to departmental needs and corporate guidelines. Maintains accurate levels of stock by expediting replenishment orders through Direct Reorder Process, Requisitions, or Limited Purchase Orders. Process Purchase Card transactions, in WORKS program, for all material purchased for continuous and emergency operations. Coordinates, with Purchasing, emergency material needed due to major equipment failures. Performs inventory spot check/cycle counts to comply with Internal Audit guidelines. Maintains and supports material requirements for two warehouse locations (Moncks Corner and Blythewood). Enters all transactions into Oracle's inventory system promptly and accurately. Transfers stock items to various Generation and Distribution warehouses. Issues Material Orders and stages material for capital projects. Expedites orders and receives non-stock material required by Technicians to perform repairs and maintenance of equipment. Assists Technicians with substation equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, battery banks and chargers, heating and air conditioning equipment, conduit, etc. Meets with suppliers to identify parts. Understands the nature of a problem and is able to convey information for a quick resolution. Delivers parts to system-wide substation locations and Blythewood warehouse. Forecasts specialty gas used by Substation Maintenance and provides information to Purchasing for maintaining a Blanket Order. Coordinates, records and processes HVAC repairs, AC/DC surge protectors and fire extinguishers. Maintains records, of equipment in substation control houses, to insure that OSHA safety requirements are met. Updates HVAC records, in Maximo, to ensure accurate data is available at all times. Maintains Blanket Orders, warranties, service agreements, upgrades, replacements, and other records for owned and leased equipment. Handles repair and replacement of hand and power tools used in Substation Maintenance. Arranges with vendors for Return Material Authorizations. Issues Shipping Authorities, prepares items for shipping and delivers to UPS location, all repairable inventory items, test equipment, and specialty equipment. Maintains records on repairs and warranty agreements. Provides Safety Data Sheets on products used in Substation Maintenance. General Awareness/Familiarization of transporting hazardous material and proper format when processing Straight Bill of Lading forms required by Department of Transportation to prevent fines. Possesses knowledge of how to handle an emergency should one occur. Daily point of contact for technicians, troubleshooting technical parts that are broken or obsolete. Completes Fleet Reports for Substation Maintenance. Initiates, prepares, and processes Material Dispositions; updating inventory when complete. Provides administrative support to unit.
