The Sr. iWay Solution Delivery Manager (in short SDM) will be working primarily for the iWay A2A middleware team. iWay is a short reference to iWay Service Manager (iSM), a product provided by the IBI department of the Cloud Software Group. The Solution Delivery Manager would be hosted in our office in Granollers Spain, where several iWay Middleware specialists are working, and which also hosts a large part of the SAP Centre of Expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Sr. iWay Solution Delivery Manager, you will be working primarily for the iWay A2A middleware team. The Solution Delivery Manager would be hosted in our office in Granollers Spain, where several iWay Middleware specialists are working, and which also hosts a large part of the SAP Centre of Expertise. The Middleware Solution Manager is responsible for the planning of the software development process, and the adherence of the team to that planning.
Your main focus:
The A2A middleware team deals with several hundred interfaces between:
- internal systems, and
- internal systems and external systems providing services to Coty.
There is also an iWay B2B team that deals with EDI communication mostly using the EDIFACT or Ansi X12 standards. Both A2A and B2B teams work on the architecture, development and support of interfaces that are requested by projects, small new interfaces and interface changes that are the result of business requests or internal improvement requests, and handling of incidents related to the interfaces. The teams consist of architects and developers in the US, Europe and Australia, and developers in India. First and second line support is primarily handled by a team in India.
The SDM has the following tasks:
Maintain resource planning:
o Projects and planned effort over time
o Resources and availability over time
o Future project demands and resulting resource needs
Keep track of work in progress in various systems:
o SharePoint based tracking system
o Change Management system
o General Ticketing system
- Review, with architects and developers, the status of WIP against required delivery dates
Allocate resources to projects and change requests
Coordinate resource conflicts
Negotiate expectations of stakeholders (functional teams & business reps)
- Discuss delivery progress with other stakeholders, including the team that manages the overall release organization.
Resolving tensions between overall project plannings and iWay delivery plans
Coordinate multiple involved parties toward release calendar windows
The SDM works closely together for these activities with both the Sr. IT Director Middleware & Business related architecture (in short Sr. Middleware Director) and the Director A2A Interfaces. The SDM will be reporting to the Director A2A Interfaces. Both A2A and B2B teams report to the Sr. Middleware Director.
The SDM will also engage with other involved parties like the overall Project Managers, and the Business Facing managers, who own the project from an IT perspective, and are responsible for the business involvement in a project.
The team consists of 14 middleware developers and architects, and you will work closely together with several departments such as SAP expert group, Supply Chain, and Finance. All your colleagues are vibrant and challenging environment.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT
As a/an experienced iWay Solution Delivery Manager, you can manage multiple developments, and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse, and international environment.
Other than that, you have:
- A University level degree on bachelor level or beyond, or similar proven level of thinking.
- Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience in managing software development processes.
- Outstanding collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks under tight deadlines.
For the candidates the following skills are desired:
- Planning skills
- Proficiency with Excel (formulas)
- Combining birds eye view with attention to details
