The Sr. HRIS (Human Resource Information System) Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing the organization's human resources technology systems and data management. This position combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of HR processes, enabling the efficient utilization of HRIS software and data reporting to support HR operations and strategic decision-making. Furthermore, this position is responsible for identifying and developing means of improving the scope and quality of workforce analytics capabilities across the business by working in partnership with various IT, Finance, HR, and business stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
- Collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term information department and system objectives; develops a plan to modify or enhance HRIS applications, modules, and systems to meet those objectives.
- Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Identifies, recommends, and programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Leads and coordinates data generation for compliance processes like AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212.
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
- Partners with the payroll department in system issues and changes.
- Partners with vendors to identify and create methods of linking systems through interfaces, imports, exports and reports. Monitors and works to quickly and effectively resolve service degradation issues.
- Perform audits on HR processes and documents, including hiring, termination of service, and payroll administration, when required.
- Perform statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data and run queries.
- Recommends and creates data auditing reports and procedures to ensure the accuracy of all HR data.
- Represents and leads HRIS activities and resources on cross-functional project teams in the areas of payroll, benefits, compensation, compliance, and training.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for UKG-related functions.
- Strong ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and deadlines and take initiative and ownership of action items. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Human Resource, Accounting/Finance, Data Science/Analytics.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, with a focus in HR preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with the UKG/UltiPro (Ultimate Software) platform and Cognos Analytics.
- Expert level proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex data.
- Strong time management and organization skills to meet deadlines.
