Sr. Full Stack Developer

Qualification:
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
· 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or related technical engineering capacity.
· Professional experience working with Agile Methodologies is required.
· Experience working with DevOps principles, practices and tools in an enterprise technology environment is required.
· Experience engineering software within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure or other prominent enterprise cloud provider is required.
Front-end development experience:
o Experience in creating single page applications using Angular JS and Angular 12+
o Experience writing unit test cases with Jasmine or Jest frame works.
o Experience creating response web application using angular flex or bootstrap.
Back-end development experience:
o Expert in Functional Programming approaches, preferably in Java. Develop efficient and effective software using Java, Python, Spring Framework, Microservices, APIs.
o Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Relational and NoSQL Databases, Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, Networking.
o Architecting, developing, and supporting REST and websocket API's
o 3-5 years developing in Java and SpringBoot
o Strong knowledge and experience in n-tier web applications including web servers (Apache), application servers (IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, Weblogic), databases (Oracle, MySQL) and infrastructure (Amazon Web Services)
o Experience working with containers, and managed container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift) in the cloud (For example AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift)
o Experience developing and deploying applications to Amazon Web Services and making use of the services they offer including and not limiting to Lambda, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Route53 etc.
o Experience working with version control systems and automated deployments (Git, Jenkins)
o Experience maintaining & enhancing PAAS applications (onPrem & Internal) and actively rework these to AWS along project timelines.
o Working knowledge of MQ services such as Kafka, Active MQ
o Knowledge and experience with JBOSS and Websphere.
· Working knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle, building CI/CD pipelines and practicing Test Driven Development is a requirement.
· Fundamental Awareness of Application Security principles and 12-factor application development principles is required.
· Experience with source control, build tools and GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket or other) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Take models developed by the data scientists and integrate them with the rest of the company's platform
• Building API's around the model so that it can be served and consumed, developing user interfaces to visualize and interact with model results, and implementing monitoring capabilities to verify that solutions continue to provide accurate inferences
• Partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to operationalize machine learning and optimization models that deliver new insights to the business
• Build data API's and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for client's internal business operations, customers, and partners
• Take responsibility for ensuring that model code, data pipelines, API's, and user interfaces are developed and deployed successfully into production
• Troubleshooting issues that arise and supporting production applications
• Continuously integrate code into client's on premise and AWS cloud environments
• Transform data science protypes into "production-ready” software products
• Ensure a good data flow between database and backend systems
• Optimize solutions for performance and scalability
• Ensure that the client methodology, standards, and procedures are implemented

• Coordinate activities with internal and external technology service providers

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field
• 5-7 years of experience hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, and running business, big data, and/or data science applications
• 1-2+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS as a developer
• Multiple years of software development experience with recent hands-on experience working with AWS services as a developer
• Must have a bias for action and be capable of system level thinking
• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
• A self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results
• Experience developing Angular applications
• Experience developing with Java, SQL and building REST API's
• Experience working with AWS services with an emphasis on managed services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API gateway
• Experience developing infrastructure-as-code using AWS tools (e.g., Cloud Development Kit, Cloud Formation) Experience with automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (Git, GitLab, Jenkins)
• Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., VersionOne, JIRA)
• Strong problem-solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration

Desired Skills:

• Experience with design patterns and implementation for machine learning and data science products
• Experience with design patterns and implementation using microservices architecture
• Understanding or experience with loose coupling of front-end modules on AWS
• Experienced with deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, OpenShift, and AWS
• Knowledge of data engineering and experience with big data
