Job Summary
Working as the Sr. Financial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Chartwells Higher Education finance team. You will assist in updating and analyzing our internal financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis, support the forecasting and yearly budget process, and support our journey to a data-warehouse solution with dashboards such as Power BI. This is a remote role.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly management reporting
- Consolidates, analyzes, and distributes the weekly Business Owner Reports
- Consolidate in month projections through Anaplan
- Improves financial status by compiling and analyzing budgets and forecast, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and considering "what if" scenarios to bring forth suggestions to the Chartwells Finance Team
- Provides accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual project
- Creates and designs reports and spreadsheets; creates and maintains a database to organize, collect and upload data into required reporting formats
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance
- High proficiency in Excel (Pivot/Power Pivot Tables)
- Experience preferred in MS Access, Power BI, VBA/Macros, SQL and Alteryx
- 3 Year work experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong organization and time management skills
