The Senior Financial Analyst will provide recurring monthly accounting services and financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting support. The Senior Financial Analyst will be heavily involved in the month-end close process and work closely with the VP of Finance and the Sonepar Shared Services accounting team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide recurring monthly accounting services and financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting support. The Senior Financial Analyst will be heavily involved in the month-end close process and work closely with the VP of Finance and the Sonepar Shared Services accounting team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information required to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
- Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and verification of account reconciliations.
- Partner with Sonepar USA Shared Services in completing month end reporting requirements.
- Maintain timely and accurate financial reporting, meet all reporting deadlines, and assist in preparation for regular leadership reviews.
- Detect, investigate, and correct errors associated with financial reports and operational transactions.
- Coordinate work relating to audits, and work with business leaders to implement agreed upon corrective recommendations resulting from any audit findings.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets to achieve business goals and performance.
- Contribute to special projects, as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year finance or accounting degree, CPA a plus
- 5+ years of accounting and analysis related experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Power BI experience a plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Flexible in assuming a variety of accounting functions, along with ability to develop, analyze, and present financial data effectively.
