Achieves successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation. You will achieve continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will represent Honeywell at industry conferences and provide technical presentations.
Key Responsibilities- Fire Alarm and/orAutomation-Controls Technician
- The main function of thisposition is to respond to and resolve service calls, providing technicalsupport and troubleshooting for Honeywell customers.
- The products servicedinclude large commercial FIRE ALARM and Automation systems and the computernetworks associated with these systems.
- Additional responsibilities include thetechnical delivery of small service jobs, time and material work andpreventative maintenance/testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with FIRE ALARM system codes, NFPA guidelines, functions for FIRE ALARM applications, computer systems and general networking knowledge and/or experience with commercial building Automation systems, troubleshooting, computer systems and general networking knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
- Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to Honeywell
- Security and other clearances as required by Honeywell and/or customer
- Notifier/XLS3000 experience
- NICET Level II
- OSHA 10 certification
- Nevada State Fire Marshal Certificate of Registration (F-Card)
