The Senior Electronics Engineering Lab Technician in the Component & Material Evaluation Laboratory performs testing to ensure devices meet published electrical, mechanical, and environmental criteria as part of the qualification process. When devices fail in the factory or field, we are called upon to employ our expertise and suite of analytical tools to validate failures and assist in determining root cause. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret Collins Aerospace specifications, vendor data sheets, military, and industry standards to define test set-ups and acquire the data requested by the Component Engineers or engineering customers 
• Design and build test fixtures as needed to meet test objectives
• Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain standard or specialized test equipment
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing using a broad range of test equipment and analytical instrumentation, ensuring accuracy
• Provide detailed documentation via spreadsheets and PowerPoint reports. Summarize test or analysis in an existing database
• Utilize microscopes and X-Ray equipment to inspect and document device characteristics

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• Must receive a passing score on the CETa Exam.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
