Sr. Electronic Data Processing (EDP) Audit Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Electronic Data Processing (EDP) Audit Specialist to join our team in supporting the Army Material Command (AMC).

Your day-to-day work will include:

Providing audit readiness support and activities, including the execution of audits and remediation of weaknesses within business processes and internal controls. Tasks will include:

• Maintain, reconcile data for the Army Working Capital Fund’s (AWCF) Universe of Transactions (UoT).
• Transition the UoT and existing UoT system reconciliations from current environment to new designated environment.
• Develop and maintain a data categorization methodology for the UoT.
• Develop SOPs and critical elements to ensure sustainment of accurate UoT and auditing requirements.
• Develop functional design documents to account for activity between financial management systems, financial reporting systems, and feeder systems in support of the UoT.
• Use analytics to enable business and resource decisions to include identification, ingestiton, validation, transformation, analysis, and reporting of financial data.
• Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis.
• Supporting other audit remediation activities as needed.

At a minimum you should have:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal SECRET security clearance.
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, logistics, or business management
• 2+ years of experience with information systems
• 1+ years of experience with DoD ERP/SAP and logistics systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills (i.e. organization, prioritization, problem-solving, stakeholder communication)

You will be highly desirable if you have:

• An active and current SECRET federal security clearance from the DoD
• Experience supporting DoD stakeholders and DoD/Army Financial Management
• Experience with the Army Working Capital Fund
• Providing assessments and improvements of financial statement auditability
• Applying pertinent financial accounting standards advisory board (FASAB) policies and federal financial management systems requirements
• Performing financial statement audits, audit readiness services or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department
• Experience in internal controls documentation and/or testing
• One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM.
