Job Description
We currently have a Sr. Electrical Engineer position available in our Chicago, IL District Office for a motivated, ambitious and goal oriented individual with seven (7) or more years' experience in industrial electrical consulting, design and implementation. The successful candidate must have demonstrated project leadership experience and the ability to coordinate activities with other disciplines. The candidate will also have experience with medium and low voltage power distribution, substation design, power generation, motor controls, lighting, grounding, specification writing and cost estimating. A thorough knowledge of the NEC and other industry codes is desired.
The primary activities for this position include:

• Manage multiple electrical projects, ensuring budget and schedule are maintained
• Interface with other disciplines on multidiscipline projects
• Provide technical support for customers and support regional business development initiatives as a technical resource
• Direct junior Electrical Engineers, electrical designers and CAD drafting personnel
• Develop equipment data sheets, RFQs, bid tabulations and technical recommendations
• Perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting and relay coordination using SKM and ETAP software
• Create project scope/cost estimates and assist with engineering proposal development

• Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in industrial electrical consulting, design and implementation
• Experience with electrical power systems, substation design, lighting design
• Comfortable in a field environment
• Experience with SKM and ETAP power analysis software is highly preferred.

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• P.E. License or ability to obtain one
• Project Management training and/or certification is a plus
