What You Get to Do!
The Senior Electrical Designer primarily focuses on UL508 panel construction. The role requires a strong technical background in control systems and a willingness to engage in field commissioning when necessary.
Support and Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of ISO design and manufacturing procedures as applicable to our projects.
Design Leadership: Lead the design of electrical and control systems based on customer and project requirements.
Material Management: Manage material specifications for procurement, ensuring the efficient sourcing of components.
Inventory Oversight: Play a vital role in inventory processing to maintain efficient operations.
Print Development: Develop and modify prints using software tools such as DraftSight, AutoCAD LT, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Panel Construction: Oversee panel construction, including mounting, labeling, and wiring of custom systems.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality control of panels through thorough checkouts.
Onsite Commissioning: Engage in onsite commissioning, including I/O checkout and calibration.
What You Will Bring…
· A technical degree or higher in a control systems-related field.
· 5 or more years of experience in UL508, UL698, and NNNY Electrical Design.
· A solid understanding of NFPA 497 and NEC Article 501.
· Familiarity with NFPA 70E and safe electrical work practices.
· Proficiency in comprehending electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints.
· Mechanical aptitude to understand fabrication techniques.
· Ability to troubleshoot digital and analog circuits.
· Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VFDs, PLCs, and other controls-related equipment.
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format; ability to interact effectively at all levels within and outside of the company. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Quick learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle.
- Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once; strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in an environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of audiences including management, technical/engineering support, and field personnel.
· A positive and ambitious personality that contributes to a collaborative teamwork environment.
· Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for commissioning projects.
