Job Summary
Directs and oversees all operations of Research Development. The Director identifies and fully understands key customer requirements and implements best practice tools, processes, and procedures to achieve exceptional customer service aligned with research goals. This position is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and auditing functions of all services.
Responsibilities
•Establishes performance measures such as metrics, service levels, escalation paths, etc., to ensure consistent operations and performance.
•Identifies gaps, redundancy, bottlenecks and opportunity for efficiencies to business processes and systems.
•Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships.
•Ensures competency of staff, determines departmental training needs, develops and presents educational programs and training as needed, mentors, coaches and oversees ongoing staff performance management.
•Problems faced are strategic, complex, multi-faceted, and often unprecedented. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produces effective end results.
•Can successfully perform responsibilities as a Research Development Associate V.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree + six years of related experience or Bachelor's degree + 10 years of related experience or 18 years of related experience.
