This role is in the Medication Management Solutions business, reports to the VP Innovation, and is responsible for the global Dispensing next generation portfolio. The incumbent will develop and execute on a multi-year global strategy that delivers next generation hardware on a cloud-based platform in harmony with near-term advancement of legacy Pyxis ES objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • In alignment with cross functional marketing and regional leadership, own the development of a multi-year global product management strategy that delivers next generation hardware on a cloud-based platform.
  • Collaborate closely with the BD Connected program to align and optimize the development of a corporate cloud-based platform of common technology and services.
  • Pioneer efforts to simplify and accelerate product development processes while preserving our dedication to safety and quality.
  • Serve as the Core Team Lead for a cross-functional strong team dedicated to the development and delivery of next generation hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with related innovation teams to plan and deliver a seamless transition of other product lines to the next generation platform
  • Bring market expertise, insights and product leadership into product development teams
  • Develop and implement a process to prioritize portfolio decisions based on fact-base customer, business, strategic, operational, technical, market and financial implications
  • Direct plans for vertical and horizontal programs; advocate for horizontal alignment across adjacent businesses; ensure winning value drivers, messaging and positioning
  • Ensure product life cycle milestones are built into the portfolio strategy and marketing plans to advance the install base while prioritizing life cycle management
  • Contribute to the global MMS Annual Strategic Review (ASR) Plan
  • Accountable for leading, overseeing, mentoring and developing a team of product managers

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business or Technical degree strongly preferred
  • 10+ years upstream product management or strategic marketing with 5+ years of experience managing product managers
  • Proven Strategic Thinking capability, including near-term and long-term portfolio strategy development, alternative analysis, and efficient resource management.
  • New product development experience, preferably hardware and software
  • Healthcare / medical devices experience required
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and influence skills especially in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to succeed through ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong financial acumen including business and financial modeling (budgeting, pricing, forecasting, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
  • High integrity and ethics and strong fit with BD values, culture and leadership model

Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$181,300.00 - $326,300.00
