The Job
Senior-level support and leadership of portfolio company operations, including support for strategic and operational decisions to grow and mature businesses. Directly work with the portfolio companies to solve operational challenges and opportunities (across patient growth, tech enablement, people and org, contracting, clinical processes, compliance, etc.) Includes liaising with SCAN Group shared services teams, and external vendors and partners, to ensure success of the portfolio companies.
You Will
Partner directly with portfolio companies to solve operational challenges.
Identify business challenges and translate them into hypotheses, design a process or system, test, and gain buy-in, and ultimately successfully implement. Bring solution- and results-oriented mindset and skillset to the portfolio company teams that drive and/or influence strategic and operational decisions. Business challenges could mean any of these or others: clinical operations and workflows, patient/member growth and business development, etc.
Defines clear objectives and drives solutions to ensure operational and/or financial outcomes.
Serve as a clinical operations subject matter expert, recognize, and advise on how process changes affect other processes and systems.
Effectively coach and help grow talent within the team and be seamless when “scrubbing in” to the portfolio company teams as needed.
Collaborates with other members of the executive management teams (at portfolio companies and at SCAN) to align strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization. Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
Collects and analyzes information that evaluates portfolio company performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape to support their success and positioning in the market. Includes creating Board materials, conference presentations, and other deliverables as needed.

Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5-10+ years of experience in one of more of: healthcare company, management consulting supporting healthcare clients, or related industry
3-5+ years in a leadership and/or people management role, strongly prefer in the healthcare industry (e.g. payer, provider, health tech, etc.)
Strong preference for successful start-up, growth stage, or turnaround company experience.
Must have clinical operations leadership or expertise, ideally in more than one of the following: clinical workflow creation and implementation, health tech stack strategy, EMR strategy / migration / integration, compliance, audit, and governance support, productivity strategy, organization and workforce development, medical supplies and lab strategy and logistics, risk adjustment knowledge, patient experience, patient engagement, Quality, vendor management, etc.
