- Project Execution with Proactive Leadership: Execute multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, demonstrating a proactive approach and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Establishing an Internal Production Legal Function: Spearhead the creation and leadership of an internal production legal function, providing timely and clear guidance to the company's productions.
- Enhancing Legal Precedents and Consistency: Drive efforts to improve the company's precedents with buyers, ensuring appropriate consistency across various initiatives and projects. Manage risk effectively across a spectrum of entertainment legal needs, including SPE's, insurance, union entities, mergers &acquisitions, litigation, trademark, copyright, tax, immigration, music rights, HR, and rights & clearances.
- Juris Doctorate and Active Bar Membership: Possess a Juris Doctorate and hold an active bar membership in either New York or California, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal principles applicable to the entertainment industry.
- Legal Expertise: 5-7 years of experience gained at a law firm and/or a background in production legal, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of legal intricacies within the entertainment sector.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation Skills: Exhibit extensive expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts specific to the entertainment industry, highlighting a proven ability to navigate complex contractual arrangements.
- Attention to Detail and Time Management: Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and effective time management skills, crucial for handling intricate legal processes and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Adaptability and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Possess a flexible and entrepreneurial nature, showcasing a willingness to thrive in a startup environment where structural support may be limited. Excel in a fast-paced, high-volume, results-oriented work environment, embodying the adaptability needed for success in dynamic settings.
