Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Data Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.
Duties: Build high performing data and analytical solutions that transform, integrate, and meet various data demands from business. Responsible for building data products which involves architecture, design, build, test, and support data integration projects. Serve as a core member in the Agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration. Undertake data mapping from source to target and define transformation rules that meet the models created by Data Architects. Coordinate with business users for User Acceptance Testing and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.
Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and three years of experience in the role or in a related position. Employer will also accept Bachelor's degree in same fields followed by five years of progressive experience as described above. Full term of experience must include: Batch data processing using technologies such as Apache Spark and ETL capabilities such as DataStage, Informatica and Talend; RDBMS experience in either of Oracle, MS-SQL, IBM DB2, AWS RedShift, Snowflakes; Programming and scripting experience in one of the languages such as Java, Python, shell scripting; Proficient in writing, implementation of procedures and functions in PL/SQL, debug any data issues and fine tune queries to improve the performance of jobs; Experience with scheduling tool such as Autosys to automate the execution of jobs in QA & Production environments; Experienced in SCM tools such as Bitbucket with Jira, SVN, git to check-in/deploy the code and migrate it to higher environments. Experience must also include building data solutions in big data / cloud platforms.
