Job description

This is an Evergreen job posting to fill six (6) open positions within the Customer Experience Department with FedEx Services.
Job Description Summary:

  • Under minimal supervision, manages projects related to supply chain solutions that improve service performance and engagement with customers including design and implementation of new solutions and issue resolution.
  • Develops and implements quantitative analytical solutions to support strategic performance and Customer Experience initiatives.
  • Utilizes advanced business analysis skills, database tools generated data to improve techniques which drive innovative and improve quality, customer centric results and forecasting.
  • Proactively develops recommendations for FedEx/customer opportunities and internal processes within cross departmental projects.
  • Maintains positive, effective relationships with key internal and external contacts including presentation of analytical results and solution recommendations to stakeholders on a regular cadence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and resolve any data accuracy including valuation, country of origin, unit of measure, classification.
  • Interact with internal and third parties to obtain any supporting documents for import clearance activity.
  • Support reconciliation processes.
  • Ensuring import activities comply with government laws and regulations.
  • Define, enable, run and operate processes and systems as related to customs import controls.
  • Maintain processes, controls, record keeping and audit preparation regarding import entry.
  • Apply quality principles to identify process improvement opportunities, determine available options, implementation strategies and make recommendations to management.
  • Some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years’ work experience in external customer problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Directly related experience may offset degree requirements.
  • Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
  • Coordination of air and ocean shipments - including booking, planning, document preparation, and tracking
  • Customs import controls and clearance experience.
  • Certified Export Specialist (CES)
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
  • Master Export Specialist (MES)
  • Customs Broker License (CBL)
  • Quality improvement certification and/or experience such as QDM, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management or related

Work/Domicile Location(s):
  • Desired location(s) for these positions would be Memphis, Tennessee; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Houston, Texas; Plano, Texas; Harrison, Arkansas or Akron, Ohio; however, positions may be located anywhere within the United States.

Salary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $5,233.00 - $9,318.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
