Position Summary

Vacasa is seeking a Sr. Compensation Analyst to help manage and support the operations of the Compensation Center of Excellence serving as the subject matter expert of our compensation programs and analytics. As an integral member of the Total Rewards team, this role will be responsible for evaluating, managing, and maintaining our Company's compensation structures by staying up to date on market trends and reviewing a wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure the Company's programs are competitive and market informed. You will serve as a key stakeholder and partner with our business leaders and People Business Partners to ensure our pay practices are consistent, equitable, competitive, and align to our broader Compensation Philosophy.


What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the head of Total Rewards and other People & Culture stakeholders to develop and maintain job descriptions, job classification systems, benchmarking data, and salary structures.
  • Evaluate jobs, create accurate job descriptions in partnership with People Business Partners, and assign jobs to the appropriate salary grades and FLSA classifications.
  • Advise hiring managers and Talent Acquisition on competitive market positioning and internal pay equity by analyzing market compensation data, including salaries, bonuses, and long term equity where applicable.
  • Assess the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs by conducting data analysis, benchmarking, and modeling.
  • Partner with the Finance team to ensure forecasting for short term incentive compensation aligns with employee participation and broader performance. Maintains all employee records and incentive files to ensure up to date records are available for review and analysis.
  • Participate in multiple salary surveys and track survey participation costs. Maintain and optimize the online market-pricing tool by monitoring integrations, resolving data issues, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Administer annual merit and bonus processes, including budgeting, HRIS configuration and optimization, and employee communications.
  • Improve processes and tools by identifying inefficiencies in compensation plans, workflows, and UKG processes, researching options, and implementing solutions.
  • Stays abreast of federal, state, and local compensation and payroll ordinances and Bank regulatory requirements ensuring Bank compliance.
  • Work with Director of Compensation and HR business partners on a variety of projects, including program design, analysis, budgeting, executive compensation, and implementation of new programs as needed.

Reports To: Head of Total Rewards

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience administering and managing compensation practices and programs, preferably in large, publicly held, geographically dispersed organizations; global experience a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of the "big picture" around compensation and how to deploy various levers effectively
  • Ability to build and sustain cross functional partnerships that foster trust and credibility in our compensation approaches, practice and programs
  • Experience in creating and automating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights
  • High proficiency in financial analysis and model building
  • Experience with equity plans as a compensation tool, and experience with executive compensation is a plus
  • Thinking creatively and being open to challenge the status quo with innovative ideas around Compensation and Total Rewards, and its evolving role in high-growth companies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization and the ability to distill complex topics into digestible formats
  • High motivation, ability to pivot, being proactive and collaboration are critical in this role
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity in a fast paced, rapidly growing organization

Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY.

You'll be working primarily in your home and will need reliable internet connection. We hold occasional meetings at our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment.
