POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with respect to project scope, budget and scheduling when performing as a Project Lead Discipline Engineer. Additionally, this employee may provide a liaison between Discipline Engineers, Project Managers, and the Chief Discipline Engineer regarding the course of specific projects with respect to the discipline.
Work is accomplished with limited direction. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Constructs and may pursue alternative paths towards a solution. Exercises judgment in selecting method, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results consistent with broadly defined policies and practices.
Problem/Task resolution timeframe: Inclusive of shorter timeframes, but typically six to twelve months or more to resolve.
Frequently inter-organizational and outside customer/vendor contacts. Part of a team who represents the organization. Monitors activities and communicates information across the organization.

Sr. Automation Engineer IV
- Working knowledge of visual basic programming.
- Develop and initiate novice automated testing methodologies.
- Participate in engineering and construction cost estimates.
Sr. Automation Engineer III
- Familiarity with code and regulation knowledge.
- Make recommendations based on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors and others.
- Contact associates in other departments to discuss and advise on project requirements.
Sr. Automation Engineer II
- Solve problems by applying standards, procedures, best practices, and following detailed instructions. Also, use initiative and judgment to resolve problems, interpret engineering specifications, and investigate design and field engineering difficulties.
- Coordinate and monitor testing activities.
- Influence the inclusion of testability during design and development phases.
Sr. Automation Engineer I
- Expert skillset in panel wiring, layout and control design.
- Develop and initiate advanced automated testing methodologies.
- Oversee junior Automation Engineer testing activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Sr. Engineer IV - Education = Bachelor's/Continuing Education; Experience = 10 years
Sr. Engineer III - Education = Bachelor's/Continuing Education; Experience = 12 years
Sr. Engineer II - Education = Bachelor's/Continuing Education; Experience = 14 years
Sr. Engineer I - Education = Bachelor's/Continuing Education; Experience = 15 years
