The Sr. Analyst, Master Data Management Governance will be responsible for proper Data Governance in our Master Data management (MDM) domains and bring continuous improvements to the processes and tools used to achieve excellence in data quality with a focus towards identifying and addressing gaps in Data Governance, creating solutions and executing the plans. They will work closely with the MDM Operations team as well as key stakeholders to profile, cleanse and normalize data according to governance standards, policies, and project needs. The responsibilities require strong skills in reporting tools (SQL, SAP, Snowflake) as well as data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI) to prepare data stories to support the business. The role is part of a multinational MDM Governance team which supports the Master Data Management Operations teams with the analysis/reporting of business requirements and managing our organizational Data Governance standards across all Master Data domains in our North American business units. This role will develop strong relationships with multiple business units and departments to influence and promote alignment in adopting new or modified data sets and processes. Experience with data catalogs, dictionaries and mapping will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities

  • Data Quality Management: Maintain the integrity and quality of large data sets through the development of tools, reports, processes and tests which detect data anomalies to fix and improve data. Responsible for ensuring data quality.
  • Data Governance: Responsible for enforcing Data Governance policies and standards to ensure quality, accuracy and security of data. Work closely with data producers to ensure key data assets are entered, modified and deleted throughout the E2E processes in accordance with Data Governance policies and standards. Provide intelligence to MDM Operations in order to assist in the data quality improvements and current processes. Point person for data change management.
  • Lead Data Governance streams for data catalog, data cleansing
  • Leverage investigative and problem-solving skills to rectify issues to ensure ongoing data integrity
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Evaluate internal Master Data quality for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Provide input on data elements to profile, proactively reach out to business partners on validation of processes
  • Excellent presentation skills and business partnering mindset
  • Report results back to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal and external teams
  • Lead efforts with MDM team to address exceptions
  • Ensuring KPIs' and metrics are defined and published to appropriate stakeholders
  • Ongoing data quality monitoring and audits
  • Provide recommendations to the immediate supervisor regarding continuous improvement regarding data quality

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, science or computer science or relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of Master Data management
  • Leadership competency.
  • Experience with Data Management systems for Data Catalog and Data Profiling
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI platforms
  • Proficiency in programming languages and data-clearing languages, such as SQL
  • An eye and creative mind for clear data visualization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrates analytical ability and attention to detail, working under general direction on multiple tasks with competing timelines
  • Advanced problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines
  • Professional conduct and demeanor, uses discretion and maintains a high level of confidentiality

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in data processing, audit, quality assurance, and/or process improvement experience is a plus
  • Preferred experience in SAP, JD Edwards, People Soft, or other ERP systems
  • Experience with Data Catalog, Data Dictionary, Data Cleansing systems.
  • Other technical skills that would be beneficial: Snowflake, R, Python and BW.

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$96,600 - $161,000
