Sr. Analyst, Market RiskBoston, United States of AmericaThe Sr. Analyst, Market Risk calculates, analyzes and monitors the market valuation and risk metrics obtained from corporate systems. Reports the market valuation and risk metrics on the portfolios to support the decision-making process of senior management, Auditor and Financial Risk at corporate and local level.
- Assist in the fair valuation of various bond, loan, and derivative portfolios.
- Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company.
- Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies.
- Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.
- Works on production and report to senior management, FO, Auditor and Financial Risk at corporate and local level about the risk metrics on daily basis through processing and analyzing the information of the trading activities and positions in the risks system.
- Upload the metrics in the Golden Sources for Financial Risk at corporate level to generate the reports and to provide support to the Auditors
- Generate reports regarding other metrics and monitor through the Market Risk reports to detect limit Market Risk violations generated by the trading desk. This serves as a base for the decision-making process for senior management, Auditor and Financial Risk at corporate and local level
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Management, or equivalent field; or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience: 3+ Years Financial Valuation/Risk Management
- Advanced understanding of key inherent valuation techniques, risk and Market Risk management practices.
- Demonstrated practical and theoretical knowledge of valuation techniques, Market Risk principles, concepts and policies.
- Knowledge and experience with QRM a plus.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook) skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and foster internal relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to summarize, document, and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to interpret, analyze and apply data/information.
