Sr Analyst, Distribution Strategy & Competitive Insights

Your opportunity

• Strategic Analysis: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align business strategies with industry growth trends. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for market expansion and revenue growth
• Data Analysis: Dive deep into complex datasets using tools such as Excel and Alteryx to develop sophisticated models and reports to guide decision-making
• Sales Leads Generation: Identify and assess potential sales opportunities by analyzing market data, competitor activities, and client behaviors. Provide the sales team with well-qualified leads and strategies for effective client engagement. Partner with technology to integrate this into the sales process
• Strategic Reporting: Develop and deliver strategic reports and presentations using PowerPoint to support executive decision-making and sales strategies
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and data sources, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and asset management
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Finance / Strategy / Business Analysis within the asset management industry
• Ability to make decisions and judgements in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures, and ambiguous circumstances
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and deliver accurate and high-volume results on tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with significant experience working with senior executives and development of board quality reporting
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships internally and externally
• Outstanding analytical skills with ability to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in person meetings
• Strong sense of ownership, commitment to the team, and accountability
• A strong understanding of asset management principles and financial markets
• Strong team player with the ability to operate and influence at all levels
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice to have skills

• Learning mindset with the ambition to grow in the role by developing industry and data knowledge as well as technical skills
• Advanced reporting and analytics; experience with industry tools including Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau and SQL.
• Experience with industry competitive intelligence data sources including firm level data packs, Walletshare, Discovery Data, Brightscope, Envestnet, Broadridge & Morningstar

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be posted until January 16, 2024.
