Duties & Responsibilities:
An Ambient Senior Project Manager is an exempt position. Primary responsibilities include demonstrated ability to manage multiple large and or complex projects. An ASPM also conducts training for other Ambient Project staff. Additionally, an ASPM serves as the company’s office and in-field subject matter expert (SME) to interface with customers and regulatory personnel.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Science and Engineering related fields, and/or minimum 15 years in field services with proven competencies on various ambient sampling approaches
- Minimum 10 years of project management including projects or clients with annual revenue >$100k and/or complex projects requiring senior management leadership in ambient services
- Computer skills - Intermediate skill level of Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Google Earth.
Safety
- Successfully adheres to Health and Safety Program Manual
- Demonstrates ability to work safely in the field and office
- Responsible and held accountable in ensuring that all team members comply with safety procedures in the field and office
Office Responsibilities
- Provides subject matter training to other project managers
- Provides guidance on and QA review of procedures within one or more Ambient subject matters
- Develops technical papers and/or presentations at regional or national technical conferences
- Develops and reviews technical standard operational procedures within the company
- Collaborates with Operations Excellence to provide training of field personnel
- Delegation of tasks to Ambient Project Scientists and Ambient Project Managers.
- Develops and reviews project cost estimates for large and multi-faceted projects.
Field Responsibilities and Leadership Competencies
- Provide technical guidance on field techniques and procedures in ambient areas related to monitoring and/or analysis of criterial air pollutants, air toxins, noise, odor and/or vapor intrusion.
- Subject matter expert in ambient services including fenceline real-time monitoring and sampling
People Management Competencies

Work Environment

Physical Demands
- Willing to work outdoors in industrial environments
- Field standing, walking, bending, ladder/stair climbing and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to distinguish between shades of color
- Ability to discern odors and have normal olfactory and auditory sensitivity
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Full time: Must be available to work 40 hours plus, as well as some nights and weekends.
Travel
- Must be able to travel in conducting field work (anticipated up to 40%)
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
