SalaryThe Medical Assistant will work in a high-volume clinic and should be proficient with venipunctures. Responsibilities include greeting patients and prepare them for examination, preform preliminary physical tests, set-up exam rooms, administer immunizations, injections and oral medications, prepare lab work or specimens and utilize EMR software to record patient information.
Pay Rate Range: $23.00/hr. DOE
Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM – 5:00PM
City: Playa Vista, CA
Medical Assistant Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or medical office setting; 2+ years in Internal Medicine preferred
- Experience with Quest Diagnostic lab submissions
- Proficiency in blood draws/phlebotomy; Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Working knowledge of medical insurances, referral processes and benefit plans
- Experience with EPIC/CS Link; NextGen EMR is preferred
- Medical Assistant certificate/diploma from an accredited program
