MPS is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst/Accountant to oversee the end-to-end processing of customer product claims including analysis and accounting. Claims analysis includes claim intake, due diligence processing and audit, negotiation, and settlement. Claims accounting includes financial reconciliations, journal entries, accrual calculations, compensation tracking, audit support and budgeting. This is a high-profile position that works closely with the product, quality, and field sales teams to stay closely aligned on risk areas and timely customer resolution. In addition, the role partners closely with the FP&A and Accounting teams for budgeting and accruals.
The Sr. Accountant - Claims reports to the Director of Revenue and Channel Sales. This role will be based in San Jose, CA or Kirkland, WA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop processes and procedures to efficiently monitor global customer product claims
- Oversee the intake, validity and processing of product claims and supporting documents
- Analytical and Financial review of supporting data
- Monitoring claim administration and negotiation progress
- Works closely with product and QA teams on risk analysis
- Works closely with finance to forecast and administer claim settlements
- Determines the value of settlements and reviews settlement contracts
- Works closely with insurance carriers to comply with reporting requirements
- Assist with executive updates and ad hoc projects as needed
Position Requirement:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role, preferably high-tech
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid attention to detail and excellent project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance required
- Big 4 accounting experience preferred
- Proven ability to work efficiently, independently, and cross-functionally

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $90,000 - $120,000.
Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $95,000 - $125,000.
