Title: Fall Semester Internship - Labor Relations
Location: Levy Home Office - 980 N. Michigan Ave Chicago, IL
Time Frame: August 21, 2023 - December 15, 2023

Levy’s Spring semester Internship is a 17-week program with a focus on improving business operations on a strategic and multifunctional level. Interns will be exposed to Levy’s unique culture, personal and professional development workshops, and standards of service at Levy’s Home Office in Chicago, IL. This fall semester program is offered to full-time college students interested in a career in hospitality, sports and entertainment.
The Labor Relations intern will be responsible for providing support to the Labor Relations department. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of labor relations and human resources. The intern will work closely with the Senior Director of Labor Relations and will have exposure to a variety of labor relations matters, including assisting with the interpretation of labor agreements, as well as the development and implementation of labor relations policies and programs. Additional responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration
- Research and analyze labor laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Provide support in resolving grievances, disputes, and other labor-related issues
- Assist with investigations related to unfair labor practices
- Draft and prepare communication materials related to labor relations topics
- Maintain accurate records and files related to labor relations matters
- Assist with training programs related to labor relations topics for management
- Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in an appropriate discipline
- A skilled multitasker who works with a sense of urgency
- A team player with the ability to work cohesively with Levy team members and fellow interns alike
- An effective communicator comfortable engaging with potential guests, leadership and key stakeholders
- Hospitality focused individual with a desire to learn and grow within the industry
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Efficient in basic math and computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
- Familiarity with labor laws, regulations, and practices
- Strong research and analytical skills
