SalaryThe Las Vegas Sun and Greenspun Media Group are seeking a Sports Reporter to cover the Vegas Golden Knights. The position also will require general assignment sports reporting to include, as needed, coverage involving the Raiders, UNLV sports, minor league baseball and soccer, and high school football and basketball.
We?re seeking an experienced, energetic and inquisitive reporter for the job, which comes with an opportunity to quickly become one of the most widely followed journalists in our market. Our audience has a voracious appetite for stories about the Golden Knights, everything from how the team will look and feel to analysis on how a game was won or why an outcome is important.
Your work will also appear in Las Vegas Weekly, the city?s leading news, arts, entertainment and culture publication.
Our successful candidate will have experience covering sports in a midsized city or large metro, a strong grasp of social media and the ability to produce content ranging from quick turnaround on breaking news stories to long-form narratives. In addition, the candidate will have excellent writing skills, a competitive nature, a collaborative personality and the ability to self-direct.
