Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing the Tot Stop in order to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children. Ensure that staff are respectful of children and parents, and that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. Supervisor is responsible to keep current, accurate and confidential member files. Manage the Tot Stop budget, report on expenditures and revenues and supervise daycare staff. As well, supervisor is expected to be able to work at front desk as a Team Member.
- Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing operations and staffing for Sports Club desk
- Coordinates with Fitness Coordinator and Evening/Weekend Supervisor on procedures, events and issues
INTERACTION:
- Frequent interaction with members, kids and guests.
- Occasional interaction with vendors
- Frequent interaction with assigned staff and club departments.
JOB TASKS:
- SAFETY AND FUN ARE #1 PRIORITY
- Recruit, hire, trains and supervise staff in Tot Stop and Sports desk
- Fill in as last minute “no shows” by staff (should be rare).
- Make sure every parent is signing in and checking out their child and filling out sign in sheet properly
- Address any and all employee behavior issues in a fair and consistent manner according to established company guidelines.
- Submit purchase orders or expense reports for any and all departmental purchases according to established club guidelines.
- Evaluate and coach staff as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining correct ADP records of staff
- Provide a clean, safe and fun child care environment.
- Ensure safe play conditions and follow established security procedures.
- Orient parents to policies and procedures of child care center while maintaining a positive rapport with all parents.
- Develop and implement activities for the children and attentively watch and attend to the children.
- Treats children if injured and completes accident reports; reports to parents, and Fitness Director.
- Handles complaints and comments and refers comments to proper personnel.
- Maintains clean environment; performs janitorial duties as required, sanitizing area, and light housekeeping.
- File sign in sheet properly at the end of shift and follow closing procedure
- Make sure children are never left alone
- Ensure staff follows all member rules and regulations.
- Ensures staff maintains Food Handlers Permit.
- Ensures staff maintains the Abuse Prevention Systems Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training program
- Attends staff meetings as determined by Fitness Director.
- Adhere to all club employee policies and procedures.
- Regularly hold training sessions and staff meetings for the department.
- Assist in all areas of facility operation including swim team, lifeguard service and tennis
- Integrate department with club programming and team
- Perform all work-related duties as assigned by Fitness Director

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and available to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively
- Must possess honesty, integrity and outgoing personality
- Ability to appear for work on time
- Ability to understand and follow rules and procedures
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills
- Self-motivated, works well independently and must be proactive
- Maintain a “sense of urgency”.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Previous Childcare experience desired.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
- Must complete the Abuse Prevention Systems Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
