PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Sports Coordinator is responsible for the management of all sports facilities. Coordinators will provide a clean and safe opportunity for sport and recreation and promote a healthy lifestyle for all Club members.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities)

• Ensures sports facilities are maintained in order to ensure a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for sports activities.
• Facilitates and adjusts sports schedules; assigns officials for league games.
• Ensures facility policy and regulations adhere to.
• Communicates with community members, parents, staff, and Board to determine the Sports Department’s needs and interests.
• Distributes sports flyers and/or information to Club sites, schools, and to the community in a timely manner.
• Keeps team rosters, schedules, rules, and Accident or Incident Report forms on hand at all times. Turn in any Accident or Incident Report forms to the Sports Director.
• Helps with field and/or court clean-up during and after games.

Supervision

• Coordinators must be visible at all times and circulate around the facility visiting each field or court.
• Exercises authority in problems, complaints, or concerns relating to coaches and/or parents.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience playing, coaching, or officiating various sports

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization and attention to detail
• Strong customer relations skills
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Capable of dealing effectively with stressful situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Sports Coordinator may require extended hours of sitting, standing and walking in an outdoor environment with the possibility of being exposed to the elements. The position requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs. of supplies and equipment related to managing youth sports activities.

DISCLAIMER:

The Sports Coordinator may find the environments to be busy, and noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
