SUMMARY
Creates and implements new athletic and fitness programs specific to the location. Instructs and monitors various physical activities, provides personal attention to Member’s needs, cleanliness and safety.
Essential Functions:
Teaches group classes to members. Performs one-on-one private training sessions (split, all to be entered through the Computer/ POS billing system) Develops Fitness Program Designs for location guests to continue their exercise routines and promote Membership into the facility Maintains cleanliness/ sanitized state and neatness of fitness equipment and facility Manages others On-boards, trains, coaches new team members to execute their role in accordance with the Arcis culture of inclusion, respect, professionalism and non-discrimination Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations The Director has oversight of the Locker Rooms (male & female), Tennis facility and the pool (and all associated staff) Performs special projects as requested by the Club or Regional Leadership Stays updated on latest developments and trends pertinent to the department as well as the location Is responsible for managing the business, payroll, activity programming, communication with Members (thru MSC) Should be First Aid and CPR certified
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Applicants must hold a current Group Fitness Instructor certification, a Personal Trainers certification, as well as a current CPR/AED card. Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven instructor skills; and demonstrated outstanding customer service. Must possess willingness to learn and perform new fitness programs, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation. Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
